The team at V.Ships France are settling into their new surroundings after the office relocated from Paris to the historic town of Nantes.
Managing Director of V.Ships France SAS, Captain Philippe Watteau (pictured) said the move was motivated by the challenges of acquiring highly experienced superintendents in their former location.
Capt. Watteau said: “This was a positive, ambitious and successful project which involved all of our managers, almost all of whom were able to move. There were a lot of issues to be resolved before the move for our employees and their families involving finding new homes and schools. We are pleased to be in the famous town of Nantes which has strong association with many reputable Ship Owners.”
Nantes was the top choice for the relocation project due to its excellent reputation for standards of living and its developing technology sector. The area boasts good transport links including the high speed train to Paris and the airport which has daily connections to many European cities.
The new more affordable location also enables the V.Ships France office to make savings on their office rent compared with the more expensive French capital.
A celebratory opening ceremony is being organised by Capt. Watteau which will include V.Ships France clients, top level marine and local administration representatives and employees from other selected V.Ships offices.
V.Ships France is looking forward to working on its next major project for the technical management of two new 84000 cm LPG vessels owned by Geogas.
